Specialized Education Center (SEC) is an educational institution committed to helping students with severe disabilities and maladaptive behaviors in the central valley. We are located in Northern California just one hour south of Sacramento and the State Capital.

Our highly trained administration, staff and teachers are dedicated to enhancing your child's education and development, not only in the classroom but in the day-to-day life skills and lessons needed to foster a smooth transition back into the public school system or into the workforce. Our program seeks to empower and inspire your child to Learn and Grow, Explore the Possibilities, and Love Education.

SEC Prom

Some of the kids were able to attend the SEC Prom at Kimball High School in Tracy, even though it was their Spring Break. We want to thank Principal Willis, Mr. Horton, and all the staff for going the extra mile to make it possible for these students to attend. The smiles on their faces are truly priceless.

West Lane Bowl

It was great to see the kids enjoy a day of bowling at West Lane Bowl. They were not only able to show off their skills, but also a chance to enjoy each others company and some great food.

What better way for the students and staff to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than to couple it with some karaoke? The students got to show off their unique singing talents, interact with classmates from other classrooms, and work on their social interaction skills. We can't wait to do this again next year.

🎉 The students and staff created a lively atmosphere with their groovy moves. It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together, let their hair down, and enjoy the moment. Whether it was some fancy footwork, spontaneous twirls, or just good old-fashioned head-bobbing, moments like these create lasting memories. 💃🕺
